In short: Traffic-free, well-marshalled course
In full: Nice course, through traffic-free lanes, friendly marshalls, a nice atmosphere. The hills are not as bad as I'd remembered them from last time I was here, in 2006, but it was much much hotter then. Parking is easy, all in all a very pleasant way to spend a Sunday morning!

In short: Lovely run, but felt decidedly unsafe in the traffic
In full: I love this run, and it's local to me. The organisation is great, the atmosphere good, it's a great family day out. But the traffic mars the enjoyment. The marshalls were doing a great job vainly trying to slow it down, and were right there where they were needed, but still felt unsafe as traffic thundered past, where we had to run on the road, it seemed like inches away from my elbow. I found it hard to focus on the running, for fear that something was going to run me down.
If the road can't be closed, could it be cordoned off so the runners can have a bit of safe road to run on? It needs to be safe, and today, it wasn't.

In short: Good organisation, great marshalling.
In full: Love this race! Like the route, the organisation, the marshalling, the friendly atmosphere, the bargain entry, the option of three distances ... oh, and it's only 2 miles from home. What more could I say! Enjoyed it, thanks to everyone who made it a special race.

In short: Loads of support, fast course, excellent goody bag and medal
In full: Yes, there was a bit of an organisational blip, shame for those runners who had to abandon the race, must be very frustrating. But with such a large field it must be a nightmare to get it right. There was no shortage of willing volunteers (thanks everybody, it IS appreciated) and no shortage of water and energy drinks. You'd think by all the negative comments that the organisers weren't wanting to do their best - I'm sure that was never the case. Sometimes things go wrong, just have to make the best of it. Still enjoyed the day, the race, and broke my pb by 8 minutes.

In short: Very supportive atmosphere
In full: My first 20 mile race, Iwas a bit apprehensive but I shouldn't have worried, everyone, marshalls, locals, runners were so supportive, it carried me round. Lovely scenery. I'll be back!

In short: Good one to test your hill stamina!
In full: Thanks to everyone who organised this lovely race, good clear signs, great marshalling. The course was quite challenging, had to get into first gear for most of it! Really enjoyed the downhill bit, it made up for all the slogging up the hills!
Nice TShirt (long sleeved), and lovely vanilla For Goodness Shakes. I'll be back!

In short: PB for me too, great race
In full: Didn't think I'd pb here because of the description of the course as "undulating" but the hills went down as well as up - and almost all downhill for the second half, it seemed. Brilliant, really enjoyed it. It was evident that everyone had worked hard at getting this race right, great organisation, clear instructions to the start, friendly and supportive marshalls, thanks to all, I'll be back!

In short: Lovely run, great for a pb
In full: My first 5 mile race, so got a pb!
Enjoyed the run, hardly any traffic, small country roads and tracks. 2 smallish inclines, apart from that, flat all the way. Thanks to friendly marshalls, great organisation, lots to buy at start and finish, overall excellent for a small event.
