In short: I enjoyed it. PB so very happy.
In full: I agree with comments about the expo and the start- both detract from a great marathon.

Buses around the city are great and I found the people of Edinburgh very friendly and helpful. Good support around the course and plenty of refueling and water stops.

I thought the finish was excellent and, perhaps I was lucky here, I got a bus back into the city very easily.

I know they are the sponsors but having two potatoes in my goody bag gave me a good laugh. I am not sure what I was expected to do with them. Needless to say I didn't subject them to a 400 mile trek home.

In short: Lightning, monsoon, flood- well done everybody!
In full: Considering conditions I thought this was a fantastic race. Marshalls were great, general atmosphere was terrific. Well outside PB but I enjoyed the race and think everybody can be proud of themselves-organisers and runners alike. Good value and great countryside.

In short: Great scenery. Very generous support including the police.
In full: Now I can feel my legs again I can start to appreciate what a great race this is. However, the cambre of the roads and the hills mean it is pretty tough. I put in the training and did a PB (just) but really felt it towards the end.

In short: Nice countryside, great views, fresh air and sunshine.
In full: There are lots of undulations or hills but none are too sharp and on a circuit course what goes up must come down. Result is the last 2 miles are nearly all downhill and if you are on for a PB then you should get it. I knocked almost 2 minutes off of mine 2 days after 44th birthday so I am very pleased!

In short: Well organised. Very well marshalled. Early start which was welcome.
In full: Let's face it Bracknell is not going to be a scenic delight. Nevertheless I thought very well organised with cheery marshalls and a reasonable run. PB (just)so it gives you a chance.

In short: Crowded slow start and rather windy on the day but pretty flat and lovely views around the bay.

In short: Very enjoyable
In full: Hill halfway around but then over and done with and all down hill after that. First time in many a year I have done 7 minute miles so can't be bad. I am biased though as this is my home city!
