In short: Excellent new race for the Bare Foot Brigade ! Come and join us next year. In full: Great introduction to bare foot running, superbly organised by Fast and Fresh in a great scenic location.
I thoroughly enjoyed my first bare foot race, plenty of support from fellow bare foot runners, great course - well marked and marshalled. I will return! Date of review: May 7, 2012

In short: Muddy, cold, muddy, challenging, muddy ! In full: My first half marathon in 4 years - what a baptism of fire! Mud, mud, mud and more mud - did I mention the mud? Thankfully I wore trail shoes and managed to stay upright compared to those brave souls that ventured out in road shoes and paid the price.
This was well organised for a welcome new event and the organisers were helpful and friendly.
I agree with the previous comment - another water stop is needed after the second one which was just after mile 6. Had this been a hot day those last 6 - 7 miles would have been seriously challenging especially as a couple of steep hill sections followed at approx mile 7 and 12.
Overall the route was well marked but a couple of extra marshalls would make things easier as there were one or two places where it wasn't obvious which way the route went.
Nice medal but please please please can we have a t-shirt as well for the half marathon next year.

In short: Excellent well organised friendly race In full: I dragged Mr Tubbs along to this race who, although a keen runner, rarely enters races. Dartford Road Runners be proud! He couldn't find a single thing to moan about as the organisation of this race was excellent. We loved the good quality medals and the mug which was an added bonus. We will return! In short: Possibly the best race in Kent. In full: This is one of the best local races in Kent - impossible to find fault with anything. Excellent organisation, friendly helpful marshalls, plenty of parking, plenty of loos!, lovely medal and Dame Kelly giving starting the race and giving the medals out to every finisher. Brilliant, what more could you want. Keep up the good work Weald, I will return! Date of review: September 12, 2011

In short: Hilly ! In full: This was my first Nice Work event and I was impressed with the overall organisation and the friendly, helpful marshals. Good course and although its advertised as challenging I thought the hills were never going to end - the last one appeared just as I thought there could be no more! Fab medal and thank you for the lovely cakes at the end. Date of review: November 8, 2010

In short: At last - a t-shirt that fits! In full: I have to say I am disappointed with my fellow runners comments on this race as I thought it was very well organised. Plenty of parking which was well signposted, plenty of loos, friendly helpful organisers, great marshals, t-shirts from size small to extra large so everyone got one which fitted and judging by the number of runners wearing theirs after the race a lot of people were very pleased with them. As a regular race goer to Lingfield that free racing ticket is worth £20 on a racing with music evening - why don't you go along "Teacher Paul" you might just find you enjoy yourself!
This was a fab off road race and obviously the scenery was all race track BUT if you enter a race at a race course what else were you expecting?
I can't comment on the distance as I didn't have my Garmin on and was running for the pleasure of being allowed to run on race course property rather than worrying about a PB.
Please don't knock the marshals guys as without them we couldn't race. They appeared to be race course security guards rather than runners who have given up their day to help and were probably paid which could have been reflected in the entrance fee. Overall these guys were encouraging and supportive.
Well done Inmotion Sport - a thoroughly enjoyable race.

In short: Best race in Kent, if not the UK! In full: Well done HHHH - fab race. Chip timing has sorted the congested start out in the narrow lane. Great crowd support, especially at the end. Brilliant local friendly race with a great social feel at the end with all runners in no hurry to leave - must have been the beer tent? The medals are always good for this race but this year's one was even better. 10/10 Date of review: June 10, 2010

In short: Challenging, scenic hilly off road run. In full: I thoroughly enjoyed this run even though I got lost twice! Might be an idea to have "Caution Runners" notices in woods as well as the direction arrows so those walking dogs had some idea what to expect as there were many loose dogs around. A big thank you to the lady with the obedient collie dogs that all laid down on command to let the runners pass. Runners World website mentions medals, t-shirts and winners prizes but as far as I am aware only t-shirts were handed out. Marshalls were friendly and helpful but it would have been helpful to have had one at the carpark as it wasn't clear which route to take and several runners went off course. Melon, bananas and water much appreciated at end of run as was the great downhill finish. Overall a good challenging route with wonderful scenery from the top of the downs. Thanks to all those that gave up their time to organise for a worthwhile charity. Date of review: September 29, 2008
