In short: A long day, but fantastic fun
In full: Speaking as a marshal and a member of GYRR, i would like to thank all the runners who came from all over the UK, for making our day very special. Although we did not get the weather right, thank you all for saying that we got everything else right. Your praise makes all our hard work worthwhile

In short: I will be back next year
In full: I entered as part of our club (We had 11 Runners) and all agreed that it was a brilliant race, well organised, friendly, great drinks station, good value and good course. we stayed at Premier Inn in Chester, enjoyed the walk through the City to the start, had to stop in the pub on the way back though. Wives and partners also enjoyed event as thay could see the start, go into Chester for a couple of hours and then get back in plenty of time to see us back over the line.
Only minor gripe was lack of signage in the event village, i never knew there were lots of portaloos until i just read it in a review here. We never found the Club Corner either. We will be back next year and may stay for a break as Chester did look like a good place to look around.

In short: Absolutely superb
In full: Coming from flatlands of East Anglia, i have enjoyed many holidays in Snowdonia, but this was the best experience by far. My first marathon for 22yrs and i bettered my last time. Probably due to uncontrolled descent into LLanberis.Weather atrocious at first, but once coming down the pass with the views and the support it was awesome.Enjoyed it better as the race went on. Miles 14 to 20 could not stop glancing at hils on right wondering how it was going to be getting up there! Coming down agian was the most fun i have had with running shoes on, cannot ever remember before hearing runners actually shouting "Wheeee" as they ran down a hill, what a memory!! Cannot wait for next year.
