In short: Storms clear for a well organised and good spirited, but all too hilly run. In full: Great organisation, great cause - just a shame the course, beautiful though it is, is far from flat/undulating, criss-crossing a sod of hill that is Greenwich Park several times.
If it could have been steered around the park rather than the laps up and down, I'd go back. As it is, kills your shins on the downs and saps any enjoyment on the way ups.
Still, don't have a downer on the day - the forecast storms cleared in perfect time for the day and the marshalls, organisation and spirit were all excellent.
Probably wouldn't do it again on this route though.

In short: Yes, the hill is tough, but great variety and the marshalls and guy on the PA were superb. Will be a regular fixture in my running calendar Date of review: October 19, 2008

In short: Good intentions but poor execution In full: A surprising misstep from Nike who've organised some of my favourite 10ks in London. The music wasn't particularly inspirational and not very well amplified (and this from a Moby fan) when everyone just wanted to get on with running.
Difficult to sit with friends in the same wave in the stadium and a long wait to get going and though starting and finishing at Wembley Stadium is a good draw, the course has to be one of the worst I've ever done. Running around poorly-lit, industrial estate festooned Wembley is not the best way to spend a Sunday evening. The marshalls were, however, excellent.
A shame there was no medal this year (I'm sure I'd read there was to be one). Prior to yesterday, a Nike 10k in London was a no-brainer. I'll be a little more discerning in future. Date of review: September 1, 2008
