In short: Third time lucky!
In full: This was the third time I did this race and was chuffed to bits to win 1st Vet Female. Lovely end to the year.

Definitely more entries this year - word is getting round about this race. Well done Tadley Runners.

In short: Wet from head to toe
In full: Fantastic other than breaking my finger when I fell over in one of the big "puddles".

In short: Too hot!
In full: This is definitely a PB course with lovely scenery and very few cars. Heat was a big downer - felt ill for the rest of the afternoon when I'd finished. Nice amount of drinks stations but would have been better to have water in bottles. Always a warm welcome at Tadley Runners.

In short: Not at all what I expected after the bad reviews last year
In full: I was also dreading this race a little due to the bad reviews from last year but these I found were unfounded this year. Of course, it was busy, there were 30,000 racing, so you had to expect a wait at the start. I took it in my stride. I started 3/4 from the front and simply dodged the walkers - it was always going to be like this as there were many charity runners who probably had never run before or had done very little running. I still got round in 47 minutes. It did say in the race information that slower runners or walkers should stay to one side of the road but this just did not happen.

Water was not a problem for me but I could see how maybe it would be if you were at the back.

I agree with many other reviews who said that the last 400 m was not in the right place.

Finally, walking back to the baggage area to collect medals was also not a problem and then I then spent a pleasant couple of hours in London with my family afterwards.

In short: Finishing in the Madeskji Stadium was worth waiting for.
