In short: Great hilly course
In full: Local race for me which takes in lots of hills I train on. Was great to have a chance to run against hills and the wind this time - felt like a proper half.

I didn't have trouble at the start and got away fine.

Marshalls did their best in awful weather.

In short: Challenging and fun!
In full: Second year running and just as good (if not as cold) this time. Some slight issues with Marshalling as I saw runners allowed to go the wrong way within feet of them twice, but overall very good.

In short: classic 10 miler
In full: Great race through some lovely countryside. Slightly varied surface (but road shoes do fine), lots of incline (but no really big hills), and wind to consider too. Miles marked accurately.

Everything that a 10 mile should be. See you next year.

In short: flat, fast and well organised
In full: Lea Valley athletics centre is impressive and so was the organisation of this race. Well marshalled and distance markers every KM. Refreshments available at HQ and loads of parking too.

The stretch along the water was nice and scenic but some bits were a little post-industrial.

Good race though, and flat enough for PB potential.

In short: well organised and challenging enough
In full: Mixed terrain (fields, paths and footpaths- nothing too nasty) and enough ups and downs to keep you interested. Field was just the right size and weather was great- markers at every K too.

Very good race- never enjoyed a banana so much.
