In short: Very well organised event In full: As always a well organised event. Nice weather helped and the course appeared strangley more undulating than I remembered from previous years!! Still managed a PB, dipping under 39 minutes for the first time. Very pleased, well done Striders. Date of review: November 8, 2010

In short: Gloriuos weather made for a great race In full: A very well organised event by Leigh Striders. Excellent marshalling throughout the course and good support from locals. In fact I do not think I've ever seen so many yellow jackets on a 10k course. The course is tough over the first half with two nasty hills, before the long drag home along the flat sea path. Delighted with PB and look forward to next year. Date of review: October 18, 2010

In short: Flat and Fast In full: My first time doing this course. Preferred the old one that was much more interesting, although is always nice seeing lots of club members passing on the other side of the road offering encouragement. Didn't run particularly well, but with proper training this is a definite PB course. Excellent marshalling and water stations were very good. Date of review: June 14, 2010

In short: Very well organised race through lovely woodland In full: Always a nice first race post London Marathon. A testing course through narrow, twisty paths ensuring concentration at all times. A well organised event, that this year went the reverse direction. This ensured the field was more spread out when it came to the few bottlenecks that have caused problems on earlier years. Looking forward to next year already. Date of review: May 10, 2010

In short: Fantastioc Day!! In full: My 5th London and the most enjoyable. Ran a PB of 3.10 which was 10 minutes faster than I ran 4 years ago. This also means I get a good for my age entry next year. Oh dear hadn't really thought that one through. Was hoping to retire at the top, but am already thinking about next year. The crwods seemed even larger and louder this year, especially around Canary Wharf, my head was ringing. Just a great day! Date of review: April 29, 2010

In short: Magnificent! In full: First time I have run this. A real challenging course over mud, trails and seriously hilly in places. Really pleased with how I ran it, a new PB over that distance despite the course. Excellent marshalling, thanks to all at Orion. Date of review: March 20, 2010

In short: Got home muddier than my son did from rugby training!! In full: I love this race. Fourth time I've entered and a new PB, although just missed out on sub-1.50, mainly due to having to remove a stone from my shoe. It seemed muddier than previous years to me, which was hilarious. Also managed to perform a commando roll through the good old Essex clay. As usual a fantastically organised race and an excellent T-shirt to finishers, I also won a spot prize, a bottle of wine. Cheers to all involved from Benfleet RC Date of review: January 24, 2010

In short: Lovely race through beatiful woodland In full: Despite falling over a tree stump and doing a Marine type roll, really enjoyed this race. Tricky windy course keeps your wits about you, although clearly not enough for me. Disappointing time, but great first organised run since FLM. Date of review: May 11, 2009

In short: Never, ever, ever again!! In full: My fourth and final venture to the streets of London. As always the organisation and the support along the way was magnificent. In fact I think was the best yet. Certainly the weather helped the numbers, but not the runners. Really struggled this year, with a combination of insufficient training following annoying injuries, heat and Age! Date of review: April 27, 2009

In short: Tough course, but fantastic day! In full: Second year of running this very well organised race. Short delay to start because of the numbers, although we were well informed, and warmed up by the David Lloyd mob (kids loved that part too). A tough course up some never ending hills, through lovely trails and over slippery grass. A real test, but a top ten finish was great. It was well signed and most stewards were very supportive. Nice pockets of supporters around the course gave great help too. Shame about the fog, but it was gone in the afternoon and we had a fantastic family day at the estate. Already looking forward to next year! Date of review: October 13, 2008
