In short: A great introduction to marathons
In full: Have run plenty before but this was my first marathon and it could not have gone any better. The organisation was great, plenty of water and sponge points, superb support and a really nice course. The hills could have been a lot worse, and having cycled in the area before the route defintitely avoided some nasty ones! I was only going to do a marathon once just to say 'I did it', but I shall be back next year.

In short: Does exactly what it says on the tin
In full: I really liked this race. Well organised, plenty of parking and toilets, friendly runners, some good support from marshalls and a quick course.

In short: Sunshine, slopes and sweat...
In full: Have only done one half marathon before and that was 6 years ago, so was a bit apprehensive about entering. I needn't have worried, had a great race. The route was scenic, the undulations challenging, and the atmosphere was terrific. Great support all round, particularly over the iron bridge and the finish line, and the marshalls. Will definitely be back next year.

In short: Bit of a cock up this time, but still a great race
In full: Third time I've done this one, and was unfortunate enough to go off course due to signage/marshall issues. However, this is easily rectified and Paul who organises seemed genuinely upset, I don't doubt he will rectify this for next year. Slightly different route this year, harder but more scenic and loved it. As for it being expensive, would agree that it is not cheap, but it's not as if you don't know that when you enter...

In short: Great location and organisation.
In full: A really enjoyable event. The organisation was very good, the route was pleasant with good changes in surfaces to keep it interesting. Very friendly atmosphere, will definitely be coming back next year.
