In short: Dull course but great support and organisation In full: A well put on race, excellent organisers, marshalls everywhere, good support on the streets from locals as well. But the course isnt that interesting and lots of twists and turns make it hard to keep a rhythm going, it's also not as flat as may be expected, therefore PB potential is limited for more experienced runners.
A good morning out nonetheless. Date of review: September 30, 2013
In short: Great PB potential if the weather holds out. In full: Very flat course, and quick if its not a windy day. The laps and the scenary aren't the most inspiring but the organisation was excellent and the supporters were great. A great PB course. Date of review: June 13, 2011
In short: Great organisation, shame about the traffic In full: I ran this for the first time in 2007. The marshals wee out in force and provided sme good support, also putting on 2 water stations was a bonus for a 5 mile loop. Unfortunately though the traffic increased as the laps built up and I found it necessary to watch over my shoulder as I overtook some of the slower runners, and where the pavement was narow I had to run in the road to get by people. All in all though a nice undulating course, some fast bits some road and some quite parts. A nice alternative from the Sunday run. Date of review: March 19, 2007
In short: Fantastic route, very fast rolling course In full: Well organised race, once out of Watford the scenery is lovely and the roads quiet and winding. The route takes you up in the first half and down for the second making for a fast last few miles. Great PB potential. Date of review: February 11, 2007
