In full: Good course, with a hill from about 9 to 11 miles that i didn't really notice until i realised i was tiring and slowing. It crept up on you! Thankfully the last 2 miles were downhill so i was able to pull myself together for the final push. Well marshalled and organised though if the weather had been like 2 weeks previous the car park[an uncut grass field] would have been impossible to use[organisers are you listening?].Nice looking t shirt as well. A good day.

In full: Nice race, flatish, quick course, well organised and marshalled.Start and finish are a good mile apart so there's a good warm down walk back across town to your car.The finish was good and well supported on parkland overlooked by the cathedral. Will do this again but hope the timechip problem regarding slow official times as apposed to garmintimes is sorted out.

In short: A challenging but gloriously scenic race
In full: A challenging but gloriously scenic race helped by lovely weather. Ran in road shoes with no problem. After a flat first couple of miles i sort of expected the hills. As someone said it is the Lakes!Just two suggestions.
The mug of tea was lovely at the end but some clean fresh water [not cloudy and out of an open bucket]would also be welcome, and a course map as well.Superb day though.
Back next year.

In short: WHERE WAS THE ORGANISATION ?
In full: Done this four years ago,and had nothing to moan about. What,s happened? Had to pick chip up at Silverstone on Tuesday night and no problem. Here there,s a cue a mile long with nobody being informed that you could line up according to your number, my wife found that one out thankfully. At the start there was loud music blasting out of the tanoy and suddenly a klaxon went off. No warning or countdown.Water stations were very poor,at the first one the water hadn't been unrapt.
By all accounts people struggling with th heat at the finnish were virtualy ignored and we were being told one bottle of water at the
finnish when clearly there neede to be more. It just had the air of being organised at the vary last minute and with no eye on the weather and no connection between the organisers and the runners they were supposed to be looking after. I may not be coming back for this one which is a pity for it has potential to be a good one and the support was the race's one saving grace.
