In short: Halstead do it again. Brilliant!! In full: What can you say : another superbly organised race, by the club that does it for the Runners. Thats eight times now, and no matter what, will be back next year. Date of review: May 10, 2016
In short: What can you say : Brilliant event In full: Keith and the Halstead crew did it again : everything just "drops into place" to make for a superb day. I'm not keen on hills & wind, but you hardly noticed either, when you're having so much fun with other runners. Medal, T shirt, goody bag, and superb support "Team", make this an event not to be missed. See you next year Date of review: May 15, 2014
In short: Wiil definitely be back next year. Enjoyed it that much In full: Course was superb & remarkably dry, considering all the recent rain. Maybe thats why got PB by 7 minutes. Anyway, enjoyed every minute, even the hailstorm, and the beautiful sunshine. This certainly had the lot for weather. Marshalls and organiser's very friendly, helpful, and seemed to be smiling, no matter what the weather was doing. Will be back for definite next year. Congratulations on a great run Date of review: May 30, 2006
In short: First 8.5 miles, wonderful : the remaining 11.5, hard work In full: Wouldn't like to do too many runs, with those 2 hills, and 11.5 miles, more or less into wind. Still it was well organised, marshalls were great : helpful & friendly, scenery was a pleasure to view. Achieved the time I wanted, so cant complain.
Personally, I would have preferred a T shirt to the little Medal. (a T shirt can be worn to run in at other races, thus a bit more free advertising).
Anyway, I'll be back next year. Date of review: February 27, 2006
In short: 1st time at this race. Will definitely be back. In full: As I was there as the only runner from my club, a big thanks to Sarah from Harlow, who I chatted to & ran with. most of the way round. Weather was great, and very little wind (wouldnt like to go up the long hill into a strong headwind). Good course, and liked the 2 laps. Prepared you in advance for the last hill, a mile from the end (didnt help you get up it though). Marshalls were great, supportive & cheery, all the way round. Very well organised event, and will definitely be back next year.
In short: Worth travelling the distance for. Picturesque/scenic & thoroughly enjoyable In full: Like many others, missed the start. Dont think it was anybobys fault. Thought I left the hall in plenty of time, but got "log jammed" going down the pathway beside the school. Really enjoyed the course (except for the "estate" sections), and great mix of "ups" & "downs". Nice to do most of the ups on the way though. I must be strange as I thought weather was fine, not too cold, and the snow made it a pleasure to be out getting rid of some of the Xmas excess. I also would praise the Marshalls who were all cheerful & helpful, and was pleasantly surprised to see the groups of spectators, in the village 2-3 miles from the finish. Gave me a little, well needed boost. Will do it again next year, for certain. Date of review: January 4, 2006
