In short: Fantastic race In full: Read some of the reviews and think there is a lot of unfair criticism being levelled. Delayed start - Yes it was a pain. However on my way in, I got caught by some roadworks on the A49 (?) ringroad. So do you start at 10 and said "tough" to anyone who got caught up in it or delay? Water Stations - Adequate. I was towards the back and didn't have any issues, apart from that bloody GU Gel (Terrible). Leaving the showground - Never been to any event and tried to exit the car park after. It takes time! Loved this race. It actually did go through Shrewsbury centre and made great use of all the delights of Shrewsbury. Crowd support was fantastic.
In short: Well organised race In full: Well organised race but not one that does a lot for me. "Nice" route but very "samey" after a few miles. We all have races that clicked or don't for us and after running it for the second time this is one of my "don't". however that is no reflection on organisation and value for money, just my personal taste. In short: Was so so good, until I got the goody bag! In full: Organisation was amazing. Traffic free course. Marshalls / Spectators excellent BUT There were no concessions to parking in Warwick and the Goody bag was one of the poorest I have ever had. The T-shirt was ok, but the medal was a "job lot" from last year, really disappointing. In short put the fee up by £5, provide a tech T-Shirt and a decent medal, then I would propabaly be back. Shame, because everything else was very good. Date of review: March 23, 2014
In short: Brillinat In full: Agree with the comments about the new section around Selly Park being much better than the twists before Hagley Road. If you could get rid of the hills between 10.5 and 12 miles even better!! Date of review: October 20, 2013
In short: Has potential but organisation at the start was non existant In full: No signs for the Car Park at the start, so I didn't know which entrance to go into at the college. Rare you get a course with road closed, which was good. Never been a fan of The Potteries to run in, and this hasn't changed my view. Horrible place. Date of review: September 29, 2013
In short: Fantastic race In full: It was hot! Great touch putting the planes at every km. Couldn't fault it at all. Medal, 2 T Shirts and a tray of Yoghurts = amazing value for money. The only "down" was some bald headed idiot in a green T-Shirt "encouraging" a young lady. It's a wonder he didn't get shot! Date of review: July 8, 2013
In short: Bostin! In full: Best organisation I've ever encountered. Marshalls were superb, very supportive. Only gripe is one stopped me going into the pub at 18 miles and made me carry on running! Brilliant day. Date of review: March 19, 2012
