In short: Very well organised race over a fairly challenging route.
In full: Fourth year in a row I've done this and I'll be back again next year. Organisation is very good, lots of marshalls, road closures, signs, water stations etc.
I really enjoy this course with a nice mixture of steet racing and countryside and a couple of small villages to run through. Finishing on the track and getting a hot shower is always welcome.
My thanks to the organisers and all helpers who turned out on a horribly wet and cold day.

In short: The event is getting too big for the organisers to cope with
In full: I was lucky enough to get water at each station and I did only take the one bottle. It must have been demoralising for others behind as the conditions were extreme.
These events rely on many, many people to give up their time for nothing and for those that did help, marshalls, water stations etc, thank you very, very much - you were all wonderful.
The first thing the organisers need to do is recruit more volunteers as I found the finish at Mussleburgh dreadful. From crossing the finish line to getting out of Mussleburgh was painfully slow. The racecourse is a great location but it needds to be better managed. Car parking, reunion area etc all needs to be improved as does getting people away from Mussleburgh. I believe the buses were inadeqaute. I can only guess at what are visitors must think.
I would do this again but please concentrate on the organisation and think less about recruiting more runners.

In short: Fantastic event. All runners should do this at some point in their lives.
In full: Brilliant weekend. Crowd support was fantastic, really helps to pull you round when the going gets tough. Superb organisation. Would love to do it again.

In short: A fantastic way to kick start your season
In full: Tough going at all times. Excellent facilities and organisation. Second year I've done this and will be back next year.
Very little food left after I'd been showered and changed, which was a bit disappointing after last years superb offering. It's my only small gripe in an otherwise day out.

In short: A great event has become even better
In full: I really enjoyed this years event. Loved the new course, takes you through a couple of quaint little villages. Great organisation and friendliness throughout. Quality t-shirt. I like having changing facilities, lockers and showers - makes the whole day very civilised!
Well done Mike, I know you have a couple of things you want to improve on but don't change the course.

In short: It's a special event but it's getting too big.
In full: It's one of those things that you should do before you die and it is a great day out. Love the music, red arrows, marshalls, crowds, food and general buzz that goes with this event. It really is a fantastic day out but........
it is getting too big. I'm no flying machine but it would be nice to be able to run at my own pace. I started in zone C, walked across the start line and never really got any kind of regular stride until the third mile. After that it was still really busy, dodging in and out groups of other runners.
I've done this twice now and pleased that I've experienced it but I'm not going to rush back.

In short: One of the best.
In full: Love coming through to Glasgow for this race. Excellent organisation. Stiff hill at the start which helped spread out the field. I prefer this route to the old one.

In short: A very well organised race.
In full: A great day out. Weather was kind to us this year. The hill at 11 is an energy sapper. Nice atmosphere all day.
Thanks to all concerned.
