In short: Happy as a pig in mud.
In full: Due to the very wet weather this race was a challenge for everyone on the slippery mud. But what a great fun race and top support from the marshals along the route. Well organised with BBQ at the finish and a great goody bag. Well done Almost Athletes.

In short: Very expensive for an empty bag and medal
In full: I did this race in 2002 and the atmosphere was great, about 2000 runners. Wind the clock forward 10yrs. Very expensive, very dull and £3 to park in the Council car park! Hope some of that goes to the charity. At the finish I was given a medal and an empty nylon gym bag from Virgin active. Contained a bottle of water. Cheers.
On the plus side it is a fast course, conditions were great and I beat my PB by 5mins

In short: Well worth the 4hr drive from Cheltenham and 5hr return in poor conditions
In full: I have only done one half marathon before this one. I was surprised to find myself in the red zone but when the race started I had to fight my way past many slower runners before finding a clear area. The crowds are great and make up for the slow start. This race is a must if only for the atmosphere.

In short: Great conditions for a PB if I had only trained prior to the race........
In full: This is my first time of doing this race and everything about it was great, apart from the fact I had not trained for two weeks prior to the race. With such a PB potential I will not make the same mistake next year.

In short: Great start time. Gave me chance to have a sleep in after having a few beers the night before.
In full: This was a well organised race with a good PB potential and to cap it all it was a lovely sunny day with a great atmosphere in order to achieve this. See you next year.

In short: Lots of slippery mud but you get to clean your shoes in the stream halfway round
In full: This was my first off-road race and I can't wait to try and beat my time next year. Everyone was very friendly which made it a great race. Thanks.
