In short: Good scenery, good marshalling, good weather...........a good race!!! In full: This was my 1st Marlow 1/2, i don't think it will be my last. A very well-organised, well marshalled race with very nice scenery along the way, with good support from the locals. Even the hills weren't that bad. I will definitely do this race again. In short: Scenic, well organised, well marshelled, and lot's of hills. Well worth the considerable effort. In full: '3 Forts' was my first attempt at marathon distance and after reading the reviews for last year I wasn't sure I'd made the right decision. However, having finished in a semi respectable 4:18 I'm very pleased at my choice. The event was very well organised with marshals at every point needed, so no chance of going astray, as was suggested last year. I had a good run, to fast in the first-half to finish sub 4 hours as was my aim but I am very pleased. The scenery was fantastic even in the rain, next time I'm in this part of the world I will be having a more gentle stroll over some of the hills. An event well worth doing.
