In short: Could be so much better
In full: Disappointing race, and very poor value. Finding the start was difficult enough, directions were hopeless, no toilets, no bag drop (given the distance from the car) and had to help myself to water at the end, i know niceworks can do better than this.

In full: An ok race, such a shame that all three of folkestones races all use the same\similar route, a quite bland out and back course on mostly concrete. Not the most scenic starting point. A very hot day, with a cooling breeze on the way back.

In short: Very well organised event
In full: A new PB by eleven minutes and by far my best marathon run to date. The marshalls were excellent and the stadium finish was nice.

In short: Challenging is certainly an apt description
In full: Good first time event, the first three or four miles were brutal, and put a bit of a dampner on achieving a good time, great support in Leigh. Only negative comment was the location of the stalls etc not sure that most people knew they were even there.

In short: Worth the long journey to get there
In full: I would normally be helping run my clubs own marathon today, so have missed this race for a number of years. So having done my bit for my club on saturday this year, i had the opportunity to finally make it to Weald, and very pleased i am to, great organisation, lovely village atmosphere and the medal from Dame Kelly certainly made up for the discomfort of the last 3km of hills. Yes its a challenging 10K but would still recommend it to any level of runner. The local vicar in her Nikes did bring out a smile.

In short: Left the woods feeling just a little battered
In full: Blimey a week before i was sitting on a beach in Mexico drinking cocktails and eating plenty, what a wake up this race was. After only a couple of K i was knackered. Great village atmosphere, and nice to get back off road. Great cake at the end.

In short: A really pleasent run through the Kent Countryside
In full: A great 10k this, challenging course, particularly for judging pace, i was suprised that i only missed my long standing 10k pb by 20 seconds, especilly as that hill probably cost me between 30 secs and a minute, plus a tester pair of Brooks Adrenalines for 20 quid, cant be bad.

In short: A Challenge it certainly was !!!
In full: I Love these sort of events, for the most parts it was very well sign posted and marshalled. A little short on the garmin at 19.5 miles but other than that a really nice morning out. I actually found the slog over the potatoe fields tougher than the hills and mud. A siucidal up hill in the first mile really sets you up for what is to come. Well done BHF

In short: Steepest hill in a race i have ever come across
In full: Oh i wish i had worn my trail shoes, that apart yet another great race at vigo, as the medal says its a valentine challenge, and a challenge it was, ropes and harness needed for last hill.

In short: A tough cross country with a few little stings in the tail
In full: Having had a little to many "refreshments" the day before, i wasnt particularly looking forward to this, and whilst personally i found it quite challenging, i really feel like we have uncovered a little gem of a race, very well organised, marshalled and great value, only crtisism is that every one should go through the pond, i was overtaken by a non ponder whilst trying to haul myself out.
