In short: Flipping brilliant, again
In full: 2nd time of doing the 20 and have a 10 under my belt too. Gets better every time, perfect positioning of facilities and the best community support going. Like the airfield as a chance for a flat warm up, although it always means going off too fast. And when you're through it there's only 7 miles on country lanes with a few bumpy bits as they say. Blasting headwind appeared from nowhere on the 2nd lap but all the nicer to get out of it. Plentiful water stations, jelly sweets galore and gels on tap. Loved it. PB my 15 mins and literally swept off my feet by the RD at the finish. Hope his back's alright!!

In short: Knackers and Knickers well and truly Crackered
In full: Yet again the best way to start the year.Liking the Knacker Cracker Knicker Knacker theme. Mud and mountains, fab organisation and excellent fancy dress, so much time and effort given by Dr Rob, his family and team .And the bestest medal ever. And a tshirt that fits. And a hat. And soup .And for charity. No idea how you do it Mr McCaffery, but please don't stop :)

In short: Excellent end to the year
In full: Advertised as flat and fast - they weren't wrong. Good organisation, plenty of loos, glorious run by the river and loved every minute of it (possibly cos I took 1:31 off my pb to get a 49:06 - who could complain?!!) Comprehensive available as we finished, very impressed all round.

In short: Dog's whatsits (yet again!)
In full: 5th time of running my favourite 10k . Smooth as silk organisation, safely marshalled at the busy junctions (amazing what a man in uniform does to motorists),glorious scenery once you'd got over the need to hurl at the top of the hill.OK, so I walked a lickle bit of the up but hey, still got a 50:38 pb, so the ups are cancelled out by the swoopy down.
Waited a whole year for the best ever bread pudding from the cake stall, with a flapjack chaser - well earned!
Large club turnout but not at all intimidating for us loners
Only moan is I have to wait a whole year for the next one.
Thanks Terry and the rest of the crew, and their obviously supportive familes :)))

In short: Bloomin' glorious race
In full: Absolutely bloomin fantastic half mara. Stunning scenery, fab organisation, very inclusive and great atmosphere for families too.
Yes the hills were relentless and hard, but what went up came down in glorious swoops of the Surrey countryside. Loved every minute, and I really don't do hills.
Thanks to ETL as always, all the incredibly enthusiastic marshalls and to Denbies for being so accommodating. Molehills next!!

In short: Well worth getting up for
In full: My first of this series of Battersea Park races, and well worth being on a 06.50 train for. Very reasonable entry fee, no frills but all the essentials in place. Excellent organisation, from registration to bag drop to finish funnel. Laps ensured equal opportunities for water and loo stops if necessary! An added bonus of racing with Portuguese Paralympians and my morning was complete. Thanks to all involved.

In short: Glorious
In full: Absolutely stunning today, and excellent organisation as always for this charity race. A challenge to get through the first half but worth every second of the slog up for the zoomy downhill. Thanks to Red Watch and everyone else involved. Hope you make it to £50k this year

In short: Has the makings of a classic.
In full: I chose to do all 3 legs of this relay / 15 miler.Yes, the marshalling errors were not good for those affected and some of the signeage was unclear, but I had a fantastic morning out. Having listened to the race instructions and checked the route map before the run I managed to finish each leg back at the start and not go wrong on the way.
THe stepping stones across the Mole were fun, the steps up Box Hill were not. THe screaming run down Burford slope was amazing. Norbury Park leg was stunningly beautiful and realtively moderate. Ranmore out and back was a killer but what a finish.
Yup- oganisational errors were made (unusually and I'm sure the ETL guys will respond) but runners also have a responsibility to read the course info. THe field seemed fast and experienced so possibly both sides to take some blame.
THis race has the potential to become a classic with excellent facilities at the start and some incredibly beautiful scenery.
