In short: Great race as always from AAT!
In full: Cheers to Toby, Rory and the Crew!

Another great AAT event confirming their status as the best XC events of the winter. Toughest of the three courses and my legs ache more than after the 50m ultra a few weeks ago!! Nice touch with the rcovery shakes at the end. I am glad that the web says this was a little longer as I stayed with (and beat) some faster guys from Jan and yet time was slower than 2007. Certainly didn't feel that I was slower so maybe the course was a little longer!!

In short: Great intro to the madness that is ultra-running!
In full: I really enjoyed this introduction to the world of ultra marathons. Dreadful conditions only added to the sense of adventure and uniqueness of the event. My vote for beginner-friendliness relates to ultra's not normal running!! You still have to get your head around the challenge especially when the course had disappeared underwater!!

A big thank you to all the organises, marshals and volunteers. Great job!!

In short: Cheery marshalls saved otherwise dull day!
In full: Okay as FLM warm up, but would have preferred to stick to my home 20 mile circuit. Loo provisions were crazy - 2 mens loos at the start meant that a long wait after long drive to Worthing...not fun! Course pretty uninspiring and agree with comments about the traffic. However (most) marshalls did an excellent job at controlling traffic and encouraging runners. Also water stations were well manned (great job by all the willing kids!) although paper cups are always a nightmare. Bag drop did not seem to work that well but fortunately plenty of parking nearby to store bags in car.

Organisers were very friendly but whole thing did not bear up to comparison with other recent races (eg Fleet HM, Guildford G3).
