In short: Ripped Off In full: If the weather had been grim it too would have summed up the atmosphere, thankfully the sun shone and the run was good but not worth the £28 charged for affiliated club runners.
HQ didn't have the usual buzz/excited atmosphere when you turn up to an event, medals & T-shirts collected back at race HQ, unsure of times.
No direction or separation for 10K/HM runners.
Water from a bucket with grubby bits in the bottom at the finish, not enough drinks at half-way, blink & I missed it..
Hopefully first time runners will not be put off by the event and look to enter a few local club runs: cheap entry, great atmosphere, humour and decent tea & cakes - not bring 50p for the tea machine & a bit more scrap for the vending machine.
As others have said a few tweaks and it could be a good event, sadly I won't be parting with my cash & entering again. Wide berth to be given Date of review: November 11, 2013
In short: hoping the washing machine will cope with all the mud! In full: Yet another brilliant race, didn't have to queue too long in the pig trough and other glorious mud baths Date of review: November 13, 2011
