In short: great venue - shame we coudln't see it through the fog
In full: close to home for me - course layout was better than previous years except for the finish - with a short run in after a tight turn - no room for the sprint finish and familily and friends to watch
start/finish up at the house was better but perhaps too intrusive for Lord Normanton.

also as previous postings - finish line was across exit for cars so those that wanted to get away fast were held up - other exit was open but wasn't signed

but nice place to run - small, friendly and will do again next year

anyone know where i can get my time from (didn't see the one at the finish and forgot to stop my watch)

thanks

In short: This one is special just for the scenery.
In full: i am sure it was shorter the other way around - but harder - more hills, narrower and steeper and given the meandering course (difficult to pass in places) i guess this was nearer 13.1 miles than previous years? The hill profile of all downhill for the last 4 km was a little short of the truth. I was lucky enough to finish before the rush so didn't experience the crowds collecting T-shirts and medals - improved on my 106th(04), 102nd(06) to finish 42nd and knock 12 minutes off my time hence my questioning the length of previous years - But at the start the lack of refreshments (no tea and buscuits!)and organisation (lots of hanging around after arriving an hour before on the bus and then lots of the slower runners at the front to push past) similarly not much going on at the finish - less atmosphere than in previous years finishing in Salisbury. But good T-shirt, it is always a great race - still can't walk...

In short: Despite the awful weather, the support was fantastic - thanks to the people of pompey turning out to cheer all of us on. Good organisation but wish runners would start according to ability not aspiration,
In full: at 1 hour and ten i started in the first third of the first wave start but had to find my way through a congested field passing hundreds in the first 2 miles - still - better than being overtaken by everyone!

Excellent facilities and organisation - managed to escape from Pompey easily - parking in the City centre

nice medal and t-shirt but expensive for the money

In short: enjoyed it
In full: only my 4th competitive race and the best atmosphere to date, good support, great countryside and not too hilly, with a great downhill sprint finish and a PB i think - only wish i knew - watch broke and waiting for results -
