In full: Good for the novelty factor, but the building work made it lose some of the magic. Organisation was good, support was lacking in the middle part of the race, but a decent course with no major problems. Only bad thing was the wind - the circuit is very exposed. In short: Would have been perfect had it not been icy. In full: One of the main things about Aberdeen Beach races has been the wind. But the race took place with hardly a breath of wind at all, however the underfoot conditions were treacherous to say the least - sheet ice underfoot with snow on top for good measure, which made running very difficult. It was a bigger achievement just finishing than getting a respectable time. Had it not been icy, then it would have been a perfect race. Date of review: December 21, 2009
