In short: Great race and great organisation.
In full: Really enjoyed the race and the route through the Langdale Valley. The marshals were cheerful and the organisation was great.

Participant numbers may have been low when viewed against this year's Lakeland trail series but this was the first time the event had been staged so its hardly surprising.

£25 is about the going rate for a trail race these days so not sure what some of the other reviewers are moaning about.

The free gift of a Ron Hill bandana was appreciated and I will most likely make use of it - it certainly beats yet another shapeless free t-shirt of dubious quality which are so often handed out post race.

In short: Great race - will def be there next year
In full: Now in its second year this is a great event. The organisation is first class - I have never come across an event with so many marshalls. This years route was a slight amendment to last years, perhaps next year the organiser will could take in the pike, two lads and winter hill?

In short: Great race on the beach
In full: Really enjoyed my day at Formby beach. The organisation and marshalling was spot on, plus at £10 for a chip timed race this was a bargain.

In short: A great way to start the year......
In full: OK, there were a few problems surrouding the distance, the slippiness and the delayed start but I really like this race. I dont even mind being sent the wrong way and having to double back - I got to overtake all the slower runners again!

One significant complaint though, the 2 portaloos were appalling - think open sewer. lets start from the visitor centre next year?

In short: Really tough course but thoroughly enjoyed it
In full: A tough course made even tougher thanks to the strong winds and recent rainfall.

Minor gripe was the congestion in the first mile or so caused by a handful of hamburger guzzlers who insisted on pushing to the front and then began walking within the first 100 yards, thus creating an unwelcome bottleneck for those caught behind and able to run.

In short: A fantastic event in a great location
In full: Everything about this event was spot on. The course was well marked and populated with plenty of marshalls. The goody bag at the end must have cost more than the entry fee alone, I will definatley be back next year.
