In short: tough challenge
In full: a tough muddy challenge. decent value - I'd much rather have low prices than daft prizes/t-shirts etc. Well organised too.

In short: well organised
In full: First time I've done it. Read variable reviews of previous years but it went great, and the organisers should be proud. The t shirt was fine - I don't get other peoples' complaints - I'm fond of beef jerky and I like to wipe my bottom when it needs it, so all in all I'm happy with the goody bag. See you in October.

In short: GREAT
In full: I did the 50. Knowing what pain I went through, and am still feeling as I write 2 days after finishing, (I ordered a stairlift when I got home), I can safely say that I have the utmost respect for, and can only question the sanity of, those who did the 100.

This is a brilliant event. The organisation is superb, and the unwavering support and cheerful help of all those involved was greatly appreciated. The general bonhomie of the runners and encouragement from the public, particularly those getting bevvied in Ambleside, made for a great atmosphere.

All in all, a fantastic day and night out. If you want something more than a marathon, give it a go.

In full: the organisers would do well to inform potential competitors in advance that if no entries are possible on the day, they shouldn't suggest otherwise on the application form or advertised websites, and if the race sells out 3 weeks before it is run, as we were told when we arrived, to inform them on the websites the race is advertised on.

Failure of the above is just rank discourtesy.

In short: A good time had by all
In full: My first trip to IOM for 25 years and it was fab. Brilliant organisation, great value, a challenging but rewarding run in fairly hot conditions. A great heap of grub after the run, and Okells bitter on draught. I'll be back.

In short: well organised
In full: Enjoyable undulating run. The organisers obviously went to a lot of trouble and it paid off. The locals were out supporting in numbers. The "maybe" for do again merely reflects the 300 mile round trip. Well done to all.

In short: Great fast run
In full: Well organised flattish run down country lanes near cows. The hills aren't too bad, and with a PB, I'm well pleased.
