In short: Excellent potential for PB, weather permitting! In full: With excellent weather conditions this course was ideal for those chasing PB's although it did measure 13.2M!. As it is an open and exposed course this would be one heck of a challenge if the wind and rain turned up! Generally well organised although I would also question the poor quality of the goody bag. Runners who entered the 10K race prior to the Half Marathon were rewarded with medals why not those entering the Half? Date of review: March 6, 2011
In short: Well done Hill West School for an excellent event! In full: first time i've entered this race, having completed many events in Sutton Park. Registered on the day, no problems. Family friendly atmosphere for both the 4K and 10K races. Tough but enjoyable course with excellent support at the start and finish. Again well done to all those involved including all the runners/fun runners/organisers and helpers. Date of review: May 9, 2010
In short: Very Well Organised and excellent value for money In full: ALthough a little windy on the day the weather has been a lot worse in the past. Although the last mile had the best of the head wind making it a very difficult one. Parking for me worked like clockwork with no queues on the way out. Excellent bagage storage facilities which agin worked excellent when collecting at the end of the race.
May I thank the very nice fellow runner (cannot remember her number 531*)for the present she kindly gave me on the last mile of the run. Only she will know what I am referring to, apology accepted......
In short: Excellent support from all the marshals throughout the run, well needed by the 3rd loop In full: Enjoyed run, helped by excellent weather conditions. Thanks again to the marshals and supports dotted around the course. A big thumbs up to the fit blond lady running what appeared to be in the wrong direction, she was offering plenty of support, many thanks. If anyone knows where she came from and where she was going please let me know.
Last years poor reward of goody bag with a grand total of tee-shirt was bettered this year by the presentation of a mug! I think we were all mugged. Date of review: March 10, 2010
In short: Excellent Organisation, well done to all those involved. In full: Hilly course, out in the country side for the majority of the run (in the main traffic free). Well worth the trip, will be back again. Date of review: February 8, 2010
In short: Well done Coventry, I am sure this event will continue to grow. In full: Great day, well organised and marshalled, excellent atmosphere. City should be well proud of the day. Being a Brummie from up the road and having done the Birmingham Half marathon 2 weeks ago, Birmingham could learn a lot from this event. Will be back again next year. A big pat on the back to all those involved. Date of review: October 25, 2009
In short: Enjoyable race, local transport (trains) disappointing In full: Big improvement on last year, with a little bit more to do. Overall a very well done Birmingham for a great race. Throwing in a tough last mile. Would have liked to travel in on local train, unfortunately first train was only due into City for 9:50.........had to bring the car! Date of review: October 11, 2009
In short: Hills all the way! In full: Excellent event, despite the heat and the hills. Came back after running last year, I must admit I forgot just how tough a course this one is.........who came up with Milton Road! Organisation and support excellent, thank you to all the supporters on route. Well done to everybody involved in the event. Medal, t-shirt, plate, free parking....excellent value. I would have no hesitation at recommending this event to fellow runners. Again well done to all those involved. Date of review: March 23, 2009
