In short: Good course, well marshalled, great pb potential In full: enjoyed the race but would like to take this oportunity to mention the dispicable person who stole my london marathon sweatshirt which was heavily tied to the railings before the race and removed by the time i came back. I was placed there as i arrived too late to use storage area due to traffic conjestion. I was freezing and wet afterwards and as i had £ 4 in the pocket could not even buy a cup of tea. You know who you are, hope it was worth it. Date of review: March 10, 2012

In short: Wow, great race. Loved it In full: I can't fault this race. Loved it. Thanks Cardiff and a special thanks to Mark Williamson (2:40 marker guy) who's shadow i became . I know i was a pain but you made this a great run for me until you got away a mile or so away from the finish. There was plenty of water throughout the course (there was indeed one just before the barrage BEFORE the poweade one) Can't wait till next year

In short: Pleasant enough run - which could have been better but organisation a total shambles In full: A Capital City like Cardiff should have a major marathon - or half marathon, not this token offer of what could be a huge event. With so many joggers now running the streets why can't we advertise it on a huge scale and attract a massive field. Most people did not even know it was on and probably found it an unwelcome irritation when trying to travel or shop. It seems that every run i do in Cardiff takes me around the same old course of Bute Park and Cardiff did not dissapoint me by making us run up and down it 3 times. Yes the barrage and Cardiff Bay were great but having to double back was pointless. We were able to take the scenery in twice, i guess in case we missed it the first time. Why couldn't we run back along Penarth Road or similar or even a stretch out along Past Roath Park Lake and along the Bay would have been nice. The crowd that did turn up were fantastic and very supportive and i very much liked the idea of pace makers running with boards stating thier probable finsihing times - although there were not enough mile marker signs on route. I met one particulaly unfriendly steward at the end when i tried to get back in the finishing area after i realised that i had forgotten to take it off my chip only to be sternly turned away and told to toss it into an unattended black dusbin which was situated some 50 meters away. Yes it really did take us 45 minutes to get out of the castle, why we could not take advantage of the greatest sporting stadium in the world is beyond me. We really do need to follow London and Newcastle's example and make this a massive event Date of review: October 16, 2007
