In short: Great race, shame about the rain
In full: I have been looking to do this race for years and never managed to get in - glad I made it for the 30th year!

Given the size the organisation was fine, the buses at the end were problematic and the transport firm should have had tents up selling tickets rather than getting on the bus to speed things up. Or given the size of the event provide free travel for those with race numbers like Hamburg do for their marathon.

Would definitely do it again

In short: nice warm up especially the first hill!
In full: (21 mile) A nice marathon training long run, first hill was nasty but after that was ok if a little dull when back on the A20. A few more signs or marshalls on junctions would be nice when up on the downs. Last 'mile' was way off though

In short: Flat and fast, but annoying man with the microphone
In full: A fast race, bettered my previous 10K by nearly 3 minutes.
A dull route though, could have been so much better with the lanes in the area. The lack of water at the finish was surprising considering the high temperatures.

In short: Nice race, good weather, hill was a grinder
In full: A good race and very local for me as I live just along from the start.
Could do with more toilets as the public ones were very busy and nowhere obvious for non-locals to get changed.
The race itself was decent, the slightly vacant chap with the small dog thankfully moved away following his 'interuption' of the kids race.

In short: nice weather - no wind!
In full: A decent race, and would have been on for a PB if not for the slow start and mild bunching up round the Green.
The out and back route was quite dull though and concrete promenade did not make it easy on the knees.

In short: A bit windy
In full: The wind was a pain on the run back but still managed a reasonable time.
The water issue was unfortunate, especially at the finish where a bottle would have been appreciated. I also appeared to 'miss' the mileage markers at 7 and 8 miles.

One other point was the fact that hastings is a week later and it would perhaps make sense to organise this race at a different time.

In short: Nice and flat apart from mile 8 to 9!
In full: A very well organised and marshalled race. Managed to get a PB for this distance despite the undulating course and a grind of a hill between 8 and 9 miles.

In short: A bit moist
In full: A decent course which would have been fine if it was not raining!
Congrats to the marshals who stook it out guiding the runner through, their efforts were much appreciated!

In short: good race despite the weather
In full: A nice way to start the weekend, just managed to finish before the rain started but the mulled wine, mince pies and friendly atmosphere made up for the porr weather. Definitely one to do again

In short: shame about the puddles
In full: A good race with the potentil to be quite fast but the uneven surface and flooded road did not help much. Running with wet feet is not to be recommended!
