In short: not value for money at all.
In full: Ok organization. Registration person in tent a bit grumpy. Very dull out and back. Only three water stations so people getting to finish line totally parched as it was a hot day. No chip timing or tshirt as promised on website. Expensive entry fee for worst goody bag ever, poor medal and dull course.

In short: a new challenge
In full: I am a novice so I was a bit worried when i drove into the car park and saw all the club vests, but everyone was super friendly and really supportive even though I was third from last! Great marshalls, water stations, local support. Ace goody bag and top memento, thank you. I will certainly be back next year!

In short: liked it for the ups and downs, gave the muscle groups a rest!
In full: second-ever half marathon on sunday, hadnt trained enough thanks to back problems. BUT it was a really nice day out with lots of local support and a good social crowd to run with. on the drive up i really didnt want to do it as the rain pelted down, but the sun came out as we parked up and it was glorious!!! i came in 406th so i saw the problems at the water stations, willingly marshalled but not enough people at each station perhaps??? also was i concentrating to hard and did i miss mile markers 1 & 2? will do this again, loved the ups and downs of the course!

In short: a homely well organized top day out.
In full: this was my first half marathon, and it was a great day out. despite the outward bravado, inside i was a teeny bit anxious which soon all dissapered when we got there. there were marshals and officials everywhere from the car park to the water stations and stood on pretty much every 500 metres on the race - which i really liked. the marshals were cheering and clapping the whole way round which i liked especially after 10.5 miles when i started to feel a bit tired! it was on a nice flat route with only a few hills and even though there was some serious runners there i didnt once feel like the medium novice that i am! it was a really friendly, smily atmosphere - no doubt helped along by the light breeze and glorious sunshine! i crossed the line in 2hrs 20m, i was aiming for under 2h 30 m, so i was well happy! at the end of the taped area was a lovely marshall who said in a slow voice "go and get your bottle of water and race t-shirt" and practically placed me in the right area, i had sort of lost a bit of brain function after 13.1 miles so i was glad she knew who she was dealing with!
overall, a fantastic day!
