In short: Lovely crisp morning run In full: I enjoyed this! Nice scenary and friendly marshals. Its was not as hard as I had expected ( in a good way!) and the signage was fab. Maybe a little more help at the water station may have been useful as they were struggling to keep up with demand but thats a minor complaint, overall a well enjoyed and well run race. In short: Loved this, brilliant organisation! In full: I did the 10k and I was very impressed with the organisiation of this race. Excellent pre and post run faciities, smiling marshals, plenty distance markers, a well placed water station and water and a TShirt at the end. Good hills that were just short enough that your legs didnt give up completely. For those that are familiar with the G3 series this was a bit like that but not so agressive - like G3 Lite! Honestly, faultless organisation from what I saw, well done to all involved, an enjoyable morning out. I also enjoyed the slightly later start (10.30) as it didnt mean dragging myself out of bed at silly o'clock! Date of review: October 21, 2012

In short: Hilly! In full: For those in the know , then no suprises, massive hills, sandy tracks and a lovely atmosphere, exactly what you would expect from these organisers. However I have been out of the loop for a while ( babies etc) and my one niggle on returning would be that some parts of course were very 'thin' and so over taking someone being pulled along husky style by 2 dogs took quite an effort! Could they start earlier or later? I passed 3 with runners attached to dogs and i am not particlarly quick....but still, a brilliant way to spend a Saturday morning..... In short: I was not running but spectating In full: I have ran this before but due to circumstances beyond my control was unable to this year. I feel I must add a comment about the organisation. Firstly it was not intentional and its a shame that one 'small' error could effect a race in such a big way but the finish was a joke. The guy who should have 'won' appeared from no where ( not the designated route) and ended up running miles down the road before returning back and finishing about 3rd. After that it was just very random. Finishers coming back the 'alternative ' route were advised to run round the finishing lap on the field which was ridiculous seen as they ahd ran the last 3 miles or so the wrong route anyway. I would approximate about 30% of runners came back the wrong way to find sheer confusion at the finish. Times were being taken but it was just a bit of a lost cause by then. I have no doubt that the organisers will learn from this mistake and it will be back again next year as good as previous years but this year I am afraid did not quite go according to plan! In short: Glorious and muddy In full: As always, great race. Love the fact it is on a saturday, the early start ( once your actually up that is) good atmosphere - specially in the middle - no pushing or shoving even though it was slippy and the odd bottleneck, makes you glad to just be there and enjoying the countryside. The mud and rain really do not matter at all. Date of review: January 6, 2007

In short: Without the heat definite PB But with the sun we had on sunday no chance! In full: Great organisation and friendly people. Great value at only £7 (£6 if organisaed and registered earlier) However many struggled in the sun and because it is a race track there is no chance of shade at all. However thanks to the organisers for what turned out to be a very challenging day. Date of review: July 18, 2005
