In short: Great race for all levels of experience In full: I ran this race for the second year and thoroughly enjoyed it once again. The organisation was excellent, atmospshere great and the race was well supported by the good people of Tewkesbury. This was my twelth half marathon and I broke my personal best by 2 minutes, so I was very pleased. All in all a great day out and well recommended. Date of review: May 11, 2010

In short: A challenging and well-organised race In full: OK there weren't enough loos and the goody bag was non-existent. How many times have I heard that complaint before at races up and down the country! I thought the organisation was great, the race was well-supported and the hills were painful. In short it was a great day out! I certainly felt I had achieved more by completing this challenging course than from most of the city road races on flat courses that I have done recently. Achoivement isn't just about getting a PB! Date of review: March 30, 2010

In short: Well done Stroud - Always an excellent race In full: This is the third year running that I've done this race and once again thoroughly enjoyed it, especially as I knocked 3 minutes off my PB. The course has enough undulations to keep it interesting. Shame about the weather but that's one thing that can't be planned for. Loads of motivational marshalls around the course and plenty of people came out to support despite the weather. T-shirt and medal were great - why bother with a goody bag when so many of them are just filled with leaflets and adverts...I would rather any money saved from making carrier bags was given to charity! In short: A great day out In full: I was very impressed by how well organised this race was. It was generally well marshalled with sufficient water stops, all helped by great weather! I beat my BP and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Can't wait 'til next year! Date of review: May 12, 2009

In short: Superb atmosphere, too many runners In full: Great atmosphere and superb weather thank goodness but far too many people. It is annoying how so many of these city races seemed to have moved from being events organised for runners to events designed to make money. You would have thought that with half a million quid coming into the coffers from entry fees alone they could have organised things a bit better! Date of review: March 17, 2009
