In short: Great course - sun, sea, hills, park and tunnel - and the people of Wirral/Liverpool were fantastic
In full: Having grown up on the Wirral, leaving 26 years ago, I eagerly anticipated this run. And what a run; the Wirral section was super-fast, and training on the hills of Bath meant the Liverpool section was nothing to fear.

The support all the way round was superb.

PB potential? Oh yes! I have been running marathons for 5 years and I knocked over 12 minutes off my previous PB, and now will be able to run London in a 'good for age' place - something I only dreamed of before Sunday!

So thank you to the people of Wirral and Liverpool - running past many of my old haunts was very special...and being cheered for doing it, even better ;0)

In short: Great morning - sub 3:30 in my first marathon! Couldn't ask for more.
In full: Thank you Dartmoor Vale!

These smaller events are so much more friendly. All volunteers were so encouraging, along with the police too - everyone went the extra mile (to coin a phrase!)

And the organisers even arranged perfect weather....

In short: Nice race - hill in first (and 7th) mile was tough, as was one in last mile!

In short: Great morning - PB of sub 1:30 in my home town! Couldn't ask for more.
In full: This is a special run being my home town. I thought the organisation was excellent. I am glad I didn't turn up till 10am though as it was cold! My Garmin read 13.83 - I must have done a lot of zig-zagging! It is pricey, but I accept that in my home town. Water stations all removed lids which I found a problem as I like to carry my bottle for a while (were they sports lids? I didn't see, but they would be preferable). Goody bag was excellent - all the right stuff after a run. Well done to all the organisers - a day to remember.
