In short: Great fun and a PB - what more could you ask.
In full: My first time at Carlisle but no problems with any aspect of the race for me. Parking before the race was no problem. Collection of race numbers went smoothly. Followed the crowd to the start, as I didn't know the way. There were plenty of toilets, but they were dotted around the site so took a bit of finding.
The race itself was very enjoyable and I liked the out and back route.

See you next year.

In short: Very enjoyable - give it a go.
In full: A testing couple of miles of hills at the start, but there's enough down hills to catch your breath between them. There's also a good flat finish along the canal side to make up some time.

Very happy with my time, although next time I'll try to start closer to the front. The roads at the start are quite narrow, which makes progress fairly difficult for the first mile.

In short: Enjoyed the race, a couple of testing hills, but beware where you park!!!
In full: My only complaint is that it took 40 mins to get out of the car park after the race - so bad it reminded me of trying to get away from the GNR last year. Avoid parking in the Morrisons car park (even though they recomend it), it was completely gridlocked.

In short: Quite tough - but worth it.
In full: Easy parking, well organised, great weather, a demanding hill (twice!), nice scenerary, good atmosphere, free drink and powerbar before the race, good T-shirt and free T-bags (i was gaspin for a brew too!). Overall great.

The only fly in the ointment would be the queues for the toilets. there were supposed to be some others available in the town but i couldn't see any directions to them.

In short: Very enjoyable - give it a go.
In full: I only saw 3 distance markers - 1km, 4km and 9km. And the water stations were using plasic cups, rather than bottles, which are harder use on the move. It was also quite narrow for a number of sections, which restricts progress. But I treated it like a training run, and enjoyed it. Give it a go.

In short: Better organisation needed for next time
In full: The Roads were Gridlocked around the recommended carpark. There weren't enough toilets at the pre-start waiting point. And the Route was very narrow in places which meant that it was a complete logjam for the first couple of K's. Teething troubles that, I'm sure, they'll improve next year.
