In short: Shame about the weather
In full: First time I've done Stratford half and was worried about it being a bit warm when I entered. No chance of that, conditions were atrocious.
In the circumstances I thought the organisers adopted a sensible approach. Though I can understand the disappointment of those who had entered the full marathon.
Marshals were fantastic as were the spectators who braved the elements. Despite the weather I enjoyed it though it was very hard work.

In short: A massive improvement on last year
In full: Hats off to the organisers who have resolved the issues that marred last years race.
Only issue now is the hill between 10 & 12 which is a real sting in the tail.
On a personal level it all went wrong for me but I'm sure I know why. Consequently I hope to be back next year to slay the demons.

In short: Fantastic event
In full: My first marathon and iot was everything I thought and more. Excellent organisation, super course, unbelievable support. Truly magnificent.
Due to the heat my plans went awry after about 9 miles. Concentrated on getting to the finish without caring about the time. Loved every minute and learnt a hell of a lot in the process.

In short: No complaints just needs tweaking here & there
In full: I thought it was okay, and got a pb. Enjoyed the course apart from the hill about 11 & the final hill.
Didn't have an issue with the 10k runners but then I plod along at the back. No doubt if the half started in front of the 10k they would be commenting about the likes of me.
Most of the complaints are directed at areas that didn't affect me. Hopefully these bugs can be ironed out.

In short: Getting better
In full: Better route than last year though the last mile was brutal.
Starting in the city centre was a better option though the start was a bit narrow.
Great atmosphere.
Needs tweaking here and there but thats all it needs.

In short: Good race
In full: Shame about the heavy rain but that made it easier than last years heat.
Massive thank you to all the marshalls for braving the elements and being so cheerful in lousy conditions.

In short: Great race
In full: I really enjoy this race & the course itself. Very well organised, great atmosphere, brilliant marshals & support.
Hope the field isn't allowed to get any bigger as the course is quite narrow in parts and gets quite congested.
Will be back next year all being well

In short: Tougher than I'd imagined
In full: For an inaugral race I thought the organisers did well.
I found the course tough, harder than I'd imagined. Particulary between 7 & 10 as it went very steadily uphill. Last two miles were a relief. Yes it could be more scenic but hey it's Birmingham !
Marshals were great. Lots of water stations. Supporters were great.
Yes there were a few niggles. At the start particularly re traffic but I'm sure these will be sorted and the event will go on to become a very welcome addition to the calendar.
