In short: Back to brilliance In full: Problems corrected from last year ... so this is again an event to enter. Fantastic marshals, mementos great value for money - especially against Bath and others which are almost twice the cost ;)
The weather held good and I loved the earlier start - not so much traffic and able to get home in time for Sunday dinner.
Will be back next year
Many thanks to the organisers Date of review: March 6, 2011
In short: I just love these Llanelli events In full: I am a Llanelli runner and run for an established road running club and to have this class of event on my doorstep is just amazing. I am in training for the London Marathon and my alternatives in the schedule would be to take part in less organised races miles away from home.
The weather "thankfully" was on the side of the runners. I would like to know how the organisers keep making sure the sun shines over Llanelli!
An excellent run - can't wait for the Llanelli 10k and will be back for the 2008 Half Marathon.
Well done and tank you to the organisers and the brilliant Marshals. Date of review: March 23, 2007
In short: Absolutely magnificent - one of the best ever In full: Where do I start? To attend a race and run in a well organised 10k is one hopeful expectation but the Llanelli 10k went way beyond this. This was a high class event not just a race. Everything about the event was superbly organised and the atmosphere was electric. We as runners would be hard pushed to find any other event which catered for us “and our families” so well. Besides the races for our children and the superbly set main 10k race the event had so many other attractions it was just incredible. There was FREE children’s entertainment, a FREE caricature artist; my husband and I enjoyed a FREE sports massage. There was also a funfair for the kids, food vans and many other first class amenities.
Well done to the organisers, and our thanks also goes to the many marshals that were out on the course giving us lots of encouragement and looking after us in the sun. We will definitely be back next year. Date of review: June 26, 2006
In short: This is a must do Half Marathon - well done to the organisers In full: This is one of those events that should be on everyone’s race calendar. Everything about it was superbly organised and ran as smooth as clockwork. The course was perfect, safe and traffic free, had plenty of water stations (I counted 4) and even had Portaloo’s dotted around the course should you need one.
The marshals were extra special; the encouragement given was excellent. The food voucher was another plus; sausage and chips was just what the doctor ordered after 13.1 miles.
To all the organisers and marshals thank you for a fantastic day and I will definitely be back for 2007. Date of review: March 6, 2006
