In short: A very good day with some special touches along the way
In full: This was my first Great North Run, I`ve done lots of half marathons before and the London Marathon several times, but what diappointed me the most was the amount of thugs or should I call them "huddys" along the route who found it funny to actually throw half empty bottles of water back into the runners, one actually hit me in my ribs, if it wasn`t for the fact that I was in a batman outfit and didn`t wanted to stop I would of certainly done something about it, the thought of that took away the enjoyment for the rest of my race and remained with me all the way back down the M1 to Birmingham, I certainly won`t be travelling back up north anytime soon.

In short: A Very nice freindly Race
In full: This was a very nice day out, a good start and finish area in a very nice part of the country, it was particularly hot today which made it a very challenging race for losts of runners, the route through the woods was a nice touch, thankyou to all the organisers and marshalls which made this race possible, and to those brave enough to cheer on the course, thanks for your support, I will see you all again next year.

In short: Fantastic 2 days of fun
In full: This was a brilliant day out, unfornunately I got caught in traffic on M40 so missed the start by a few minutes on sat, I dressed as Santa on this day & soon found my friends, even though they never waited for me, I`ll remind them of thet on the 25th.
Sunday was a complete different story, the crowd was massive compaired to saturday, but that didn`t stop the groundsman filling up the ponds, well done lads & lasses see you all next year, a big hello to my special friends Lisa & James & especialy Leona Wyatt for doing both days with me.
