In short: While course a bit challenging the scenery and sunshine was outstanding
In full: Loved it, really enjoyed the race rather than pushing for a PB - never seen beauty in a race like it, even had horses running across our path at one point! great support too, people handing out jelly beans and mars bars. Only downside I'd say is that registration documentation said that there would be ample free parking space in the field but it was actually full when we got there and had to hunt around for somewhere to park when short on time.

In short: Unpleasant uphill from mile 10-11otherwise quite flat
In full: Nice weather if not a little windy. It was really annoying the way you head towards the finish and then have to go back away from it at 10 miles - especially as you can see other people on the home stretch! Managed to knock 30 seconds of a PB. Other runners didn't seem interested in cheering on the race leaders when they powered by which was rather odd...

In short: Equal share of up and down hills - smashed my PB by 5 mins!
In full: Loved it, even the wind didn't seem a problem, the sun was shining everyone was raring to go - it was the best I've ever felt in a race and people were very friendly happy to spur each other on while running. Will definitely do it again!

In short: Hard in the heat and seeing all the half marathon runners finish when you know you're only half way!
In full: I really enjoyed this, being my 1st full marathon, the view of the sea was lovely but at one point (about 20 miles in) the smell of sea weed was turning my stomach! Could have been lonely as everyone running at different pace but a lovely runner form Thanet running club keeped me company for 10 miles and pushed me on- thank you!

In short: Very warm day with lots of locals cheering us on. Well signposted and policed as roads were not shut off, I'd say the organisation was the best I've experienced bar the fact they put the Start sign the wrong way round! I'd definately do it again

In short: Could get very good time with right weather conditions
In full: It was very difficult due to the heat and no shade anywhere on the course so time went out the window just concentrating on finishing. not much support for the runners, expecting water stations every 2 miles meant i almost collapsed at mile 11 as there wasnt one at 10! Should have been signposted from stations / sea front /anywhere! I ran past lots of people collapsed and passed out due to the heat but ambulances turned up quickly. The hosing down at the end was fantastic as was the kid with the water pistol! Would have been nice to get a choccie bar at the end but had to make do with a medal and bottle of water!
