In short: London delivers once again the best event in the world!
In full: This is my fourth London and fifth marathon. I was delighted with a PB as well. Once again you cannot fault the organisation, the volunteers, and the crowds. They make this the best mass race in the world, and one we can be truly proud of. It is the crowds that make it..oh, and the drummers at mile 6, everybody talks about them! If I had to make it even more special then yes, I would have sized technical T shirts, and maybe consider lucozade in cups. But these are small things compared to the experience and the wonder of this event. Well done once again to the VLM team!!!

In short: Great 10 miler, lots of variety, very well marshalled
In full: My first time. A great race - real variety, and so well marshalled! The first couple of miles seem to be constantly uphill, but after that the course is in the countryside around Lee, and that is really good. At mile 9 there is a final incline, and then you can push for the finish. All in all, an excellent 10 miler

In short: Always great, continues to be excellent
In full: This is my fourth time at the 20, and I still love this race as marathon prep. The course is excellent, the marshalling flawless, the venue just what you need, and even the walk from the parking is not a huge issue. This year I took a further 5 mins off my PB so I am happy too. Well done to the organisers for putting the 20 milers on the right hand side this time so the quick 10 milers can get away. The set off was just great. A big thanks to all who make this race such a great event, and I am sure i will be back again and again!

In short: Great local race on mixed terrain. Tough but rewarding!
In full: Just wanted to say thanks to the organisers who put on an excellent show. Great atmosphere, great course, great marshalls, all very friendly - just..great! The course was excellent, better than 2008 I think, pleased to see you have kept the run in via the bridge. Good stuff!

In short: Great potential, very poor finish organisation, just not enough of Edinburgh
In full: The weather is not the organisers fault - but everything else was! I won't repeat what others have said - I just wanted to add my vote so the organisers got the point. And I was furious at seeing how far we had to walk to the buses with not a single marshall - not one. I loved Edinburgh - what a great city - this marathon lets you down.

In short: A brilliant race, well organised, lovely scenery, bit windy along the sea-front.
In full: An excellent race, flat enough to do a good time, though not an absolute pure PB race as the route is 50% trail and grass. Mostly car-free, and just really interesting to run, with great views. You couldn't ask for a more friendly race either. Thanks to the organisers, and I hope the RNLI do well out of the event.

In short: Extremely well organised, quick 10 miler. Well done race team!
In full: My first go at this course. It's a little bit dull, with the 2 laps of the business park before you head out along fields and country villages. Still parking is not a problem at all - so, every cloud..! Not entirely flat, but very nearly so. Windy today, and there were some exposed stretches where it really caught you. Special mention to the marshalling - really excellent, lovely people, massive coverage - could not fault it. Thanks to the Race Team. PB for me by 3 mins as well today which is going to make me feel good too!

In short: Great race, dreadful weather!
In full: My first running of this race. A nice course, great to start and finish at the athletics track. Plenty of space to park etc etc. I was surprised that not all of the changing rooms and loos were open - one men's changing with only two showers was not sufficient. Other than that, great organisation and encouraging marshalling. The weather at the start - oh lordy! - we were huddled together like Emperor penguins! A few slippy grassy bits to watch out for as well

In short: My second time - it just gets better - it is the best!
In full: What a wonderful race this is, and what a lucky group we are to have this in our city! A brilliant event, how wonderful.

In short: Always a fab, fast, and well-run 10k
In full: I have a fondness for this as it was my first race, and it is sponsored by my employers! That aside, this is such an excellent 10k course, with a really big crowd and a great atmosphere. Chip timing this year has made it even better, as the finish area is all nice and open. Well done once again to Southampton Running Club. Oh yes - and I ran a PB as well!
