In short: great organisation
In full: Really good race - have wanted to do this for a couple of years and glad I made the effort today. Well organised, good signposts, easy parking, good organisation at the start and a pleasant course. Generous goody bag at the end and no problem getting back out and home again. Couldn't ask for much more - many thanks to all of the marshalls and organisers!

In short: Lovely day, lovely run!
In full: Gorgeous surroundings, made all the better by a generous dusting of snow. Nice run - uphill for much of the first K but then mostly flat with some downhill sections. Well marshalled. Start could be improved slightly but runners got away fairly well, leaving plenty of joggers, walkers and dog walkers who were streaming in for some time after I'd finished (quite a novel experience for me who's often bringing up the rear in club races!). Six toilets for M & F for the size of the field not really enough.... but apart from these two small points, will certainly want to do this one again. Nice mug (locally produced) as a souvenir. Thanks to all involved for organising!

In short: Pleasant run on a Bank Holiday
In full: Nice route, two near-identical laps of the park, inside and on roads outside.

Only criticism would be the lack of marshall support on final re-entry to park made me glad I'd done this race before as it wasn't clear where to go - but other than that, well organised, started on time a nice glass paperweight souvenir. Very windy day and is likely always to be a windy spot but fairly flat so possible PB course.

Thanks for organising!

In short: Good support for those of us near the back!
In full: I didn't start near the front so wasn't aware of the chaos described by other reviewers. I didn't hear a gun or anything from the back, we were suddenly off.

Did this in 2006 and similar experience, good support from marshalls, particularly towards the end and nice finish on grass with a souvenir. Very windy when we turned back after the housing estate which I found challenging and the sun was really warm for the first time this year - all in all, I enjoyed it and will be back next year as it's not far from home, easy to park and a pleasant course.

In short: Good fun - well worth doing!
In full: I agree with previous reviewer that I thought the rain might have put lots of people off - someone was smiling on us - the sun shone at the end! Enjoyable race. Some nice touches this year - artificial snow at the end was lovely! Got a shoutout for Nottingham at the start :-) Better course than 2006, always better to do one route rather than a switchback and great view of Santas as far as the eye could see from the flyover. Nice t-shirt and medal although distribution of these was needlessly complicated. Could do with some more publicity as there were fewer spectators than last year. Thanks to all - will be back next year!
