In short: Great potential, but in truth well below average despite enthusiasm
In full: Poor starting arrangements. No electronic strip for the start, so no individual times, despite wearing an electronic tag. No large or XL T-shirts yet again at the finish (is this the 3rd year on the bunce?) and only one small cup of water. I keep coming back cos I quite like the course and the blue bells in the woods etc, but it is poor value and the organisation is pants.

In short: Marshalls and water stns were excellent. Parkin gless good
In full: On such a hot day, the marshalls and water stns were excellent. The ice cream at the end was ace! However, the parking needs signing in the future. The website would also benefit from a map that showed mileages, rather than marshall points. The large T-short was good - apart from the "I ran the 5k" on the back! I guess there is also a problem with the chip - my own recorded time (Garmin) was just under 1.55 - the website showed the gun time as being 1.43 and the chip time as 1.42; if only! Otherwise, a pleasant day out! And thanks to Neil for a great sports massage!

In short: Why did I go back after last year's lack of org?
In full: Lots of good intent. Far too little effective coordination. Delayed start (+15 mins) due to ?? poor check in of postal and last minute entrants. Mr Microphone getting the calls/timings wrong. No large or extra large t-shirts to be seen, even at the front of the finishers. Even the changing rooms from last year (then witout lighting or hot water) were closed. That said, a fast course, with a PB. On balance? Will go somewhere else next year.

In short: Helpful marshalls. Traffic/road closures need improving. Hills worse than Watford. But really enjoyable; will be a bettter experience, and time, next year. !

In short: Hats off to the marshallers - cheerie despite the cold. Liked the timed runners - really helpful.

In short: Great scenary; poorly sited completion times on start; nasty shock on the 6km hill; shambles on the water front; who pinched the 8 & 9km markers? Overall, an amateur run event but good fun overall. Great weather!
