In short: Tough but fun
In full: My first time for this race, so had no idea what to expect, and really enjoyed it in the end. Dry conditions underfoot helped, and the hills were quite long and drawn out rather than short and sharp. A free T-shirt to the first 50 finishers was encouragement to keep the pace up, and the free post race massage helped on Monday morning.

In short: Good fun, with a nice mix of terrain
In full: After one of the most enthusiastic pre-race warm-ups I've ever seen, the course snaked around fields, woods and hills in a scenic part of south Wales. The smoke grenades, cammo nets and water slides were a nice touch and certainly added variety. Nice T-shirt at the end (army green makes a change from the more common white).

Only real gripe was that the route wasn't always very obvious, and we had to stop a few times to work out where to go.

In short: Another very slick event - well done
In full: The whole event seemed to be very well organised and supported. The country sections were lovely, even the steepish hill around halfway. Shame about the section along the busy road nearer the end, but I'm not sure there's much the organisers can do about that. Great cakes at the end, too.

In short: Great race - could be fantastic
In full: As usual, the supporters were out in force, and really made a difference in the final few miles when things got tough. The weather was cooler than predicted, too, which really helped.

To echo some of the other comments, the start pens could be organised a bit better, so that you don't have to spend the middle part of the race making up the time lost overtaking some enthusiastic but rather optimistic entrants at the beginning.

Also, is trekking across London to pick up the race number at the expo really necessary? I'm sure there is a good security/safety argument but it's hard to imagine how it's anything other than a blatant commercial exercise to get you to visit the sponsors' stands. Other, larger, events cope perfectly with simply posting numbers out.

In short: Flat, fast run on a nice spring day
In full: A nice traffic free route along the South Wales coast, with good support, especially at the start and finish. I imagine it would be a bit of a 'mare if the weather was against you, but there were no such problems today.

The only drawback was a delayed start due to traffic problems. Apart from that it was great!

In short: Best Tough Ten yet.
In full: Great weather, great organisation. The organisers did a good job re-routing the race around all the building work. The final mile around the marine lake was utter genius!

In short: Flat, fast and friendly
In full: Perfect conditions probably made for a few PBs today, or it could have been something coming from the power station.

The organisation was good, and the marshals were very supportive.

In short: Lovely race (but hard work)
In full: The route contained some tough climbs, and the last three miles seemed to go on for ever.

My first ever 20-miler so I'm glad it was as friendly and well organised as this one. Great T shirt too.
