In short: Beautiful but brutal
In full: The weather was kind for my first running of the Snowdonia Marathon, and the views were exceptional. The climbs are challenging, and anyone who ran the final climb has my utmost respect! After the first big downhill my legs were already starting to hurt, but nursed them through to the end and thoroughly enjoyed myself. Good support, especially at the finish in Llanberis. Hope to be back next year.

In short: Excellent organisation and weather kind for running hard
In full: About the best organised half marathon I have entered. Not an easy course, but the weather was perfect for running, although the mist meant you could not see much of the scenery. Definitely like runing on closed roads. I really enjoyed it.

In short: A decent 10K
In full: Hard to say that much about this race. Apart from a congested start, organisation was good. Course was a bit more undulating than I expected, but nothing too difficult. Marshalls could have been a bit cheerier. I ran to get a benchmark 10K time for the start of the spring/summer, and would do so again.

In short: Impressive event.
In full: This was a really well-organised marathon. I liked the way that different sections of the course had different characters - even though the power station section is a bit dull. For me, the worst bit was the camber in the road from about 6-11 miles, but no big issue.

I think the Brighton Marathon is still coming of age, and so hopefully will get even better. In my opinion, it is already better than the Edinburgh marathon.

In short: Well organised and enjoyable
In full: Impressed they managed to put this on with the icy weather, but organisation all round was top notch. I did the 20, two mildly undulating laps of 10 miles. Definitely consider this a quick course.

In short: Glorious run, but really tough!
In full: I ran the half marathon. The first half was brutal, but the scenery was superb.
With regard to water stations, there is no doubt that they are basic. But that was what I was expecting, and it was not too much of a hardship to carry the energy bar which was given at registration.

In short: Lived up to its reputation
In full: The weather was not kind, but I still thoroughly enjoyed myself. This race has the feeling of a proper event, and the local participation and support is very enthusiastic. I thank the organisers for looking after us so well and congratulate them on the quality of their event.

In short: Good enough to make up for the early start.
In full: This was a well-organised race, even with a start which is by necessity a bit manic. The course is fast, but there were parts where you needed to look out for cars.

In short: Worth doing for sure.
In full: Fast course and perfect weather for running. Overtaking/lapping slower runners on pavement sections a bit frustrating, but apart from that a good run.
