In short: Race was cancelled at the last minute In full: How can anyone rate this as positive, the race did not take place. Refunds to those who had entered was haphazard. Information about what was happening about the race to entrants was poor. Date of review: November 9, 2009

In short: A nice friendly race in a great part of the country In full: Ran this for the first time this year after the Dundee race was cancelled. Really enjoyed the friendly atmosphere. Plenty of drinks station around the course - never seen so many in the second half of a race before. Date of review: November 9, 2009

In short: Nice race because of the scenary. Well away from roads, through some great Scottish woodland In full: Great atmosphere amongst the runners at the start, a good laugh with everyone looking forward to the race. Great course to enjoy running in the Scottish countryside. Toilet facilities at the start were inadequate for the numbers running. Only a cheap (and I mean cheap!) medal and a chocolate bar at the end. Not very good value for money overall. Date of review: October 20, 2008

In short: Hard race, with brutal finish, but nice route mostly away from roads In full: This was the first running of the race round the green cycle route that circles the city. Generally it was well organised, and hopefully the organisers will learn some lessons for next time. Significant sections of the route were away from main roads, with a nice trail for the first mile or so through woodlands, and a long section along the banks of the Tay. If you want a small local marathon that is a bit different from some of the big city events then this is the one for you - but do not expect to run a good time as the last few miles are uphill.
