In short: A mixed bag.
In full: Overall, the race was fine.
However a missing marshal at a bridge in the park meant I got lost and ended up doing an extra quarter mile - annoying but it happens.
The real downer though is that having run the marathon with No 72 I find that' according to the website, I actually ran the Half with No 60 FFS. On visiting the website, I am unable to find any way of contacting them to get it sorted.
Taken the shine off the whole day.

In short: Wonderful race
In full: Spot on day from parking and registration through the marshalling on the course through to the commemorative bottle of beer at the end. I fully intend to do this again next year.
Many thanks to all involved.

In short: Great Friday night.
In full: Well organised, friendly and worthwhile event.
It was a bit too hot for me but I enjoyed it all the same. The hill was a bit of a crippler on the second lap though.
Great fun, I'll be back!

In short: Brilliant, if windy, experience.
In full: Absolutely marvelous day out and great to meet the truly inspirational Mick n Phil. Great day, great people. They really must make this an annual event.
Now, if only they could do something about that wind!

In short: Wondrful race!
In full: Excellent facilities at the leisure centre race HQ and excellent marshalling throughout a quite flat course which offers definite PB potential. Great atmosphere throughout, will become a regular fixture on my calendar. Thanks to everyone at LERC.

In short: Challenging but fun!
In full: Only my second race so not able to compare with many others but, having said that, I found it a tough race with a killer ascent in the first couple of miles a flattish couple of miles in the middle and then a mad downhill scramble towards the end. I managed to knock a minute off my PB but I will be back next year to get my revenge on that bl**dy hill! (I will also be a bit lighter)
