In short: Easily the best 10 mile race in the country..
In full: Awful weather didn't dampen the enthusiasm of the magnificent marshalls who kept clapping and cheering right through the field. It's a testing course but gets the balance just right to keep things interesting. Already marked on the calendar for next year!

In short: Still the one
In full: What's there to add that hasn't been said already? The course that takes in everyhing about London, both rich and poor. Supporters that are magnificent, uplifting and can obliterate any demons sat on your shoulder. Water/nutrition whenever you need it and the most memorable finish straight of all. No wonder people keep on applying year after year just to be given a chance to take part. Top marks again.

In short: This is what it's all about!!!!
In full: Thoroughly enjoyed this race.
Keeps to its usual high standards of organisation and has a welcoming atmosphere for all abilities. For those who haven't already heard (are there any?) about the legendary goody bag this year it's even got a promo video on Youtube!!
Starts and finishes at the club racetrack and as others have said it's not a scenic route but then again it doesn't claim to be. However there are country lanes and a bit of parkland to run through so you've actually got a bit of everything, including a few undulations!!! Yes, the halfway hill is challenging but this adds to the fun and a real sense of achievement at the finish! Top quality technical t-shirt and enough food at the finish to undo all that hard work!! Well done again Stockport Harriers, more of the same next year!!!

In short: A spectacular course but keep something in reserve for those hills!
In full: Beautiful scenery on an undulating route. Plenty of visible signposts & mile markers, well-stocked water stations and friendly and organised marshalls. Also glad that the threatened downpours held off (at least for me!)
Actually escaping the car park at the end was the real challenge! Having to wait in stationary traffic queues for well over an hour meant a lot of runners (me included) were cramping up. Not a pleasant experience and possibly due to the one entrance/exit gate with more cars coming in as people were attempting to leave.

In short: It's everything a race should be.
In full: My first London marathon and what an introduction! Organisation was faultless with plenty of water and sports drinks where and when you needed them and tbe Red GFA start was a great idea which got me off the mark without a hitch. The glorious weather brought the crowds out and they were immense in voice and support. Having your name (it was on my vest) roared at you for nearly the whole of the 26.2 miles is a surreal experience and really made my day. I'll be buzzing for days yet and hope to be back next year for more!

In short: Great support on a course that's designed for PBs
In full: I've seen and heard plenty of people raving about this race and now it's easy to see why. From the stadium start (and finish) right through to the excellent marshalls and enthusiastic support along the route it's a great day out. Good job Abingdon Amblers!

In short: Underrated
In full: Organisation was faultless. Big thanks to all the marshals who kept a watchful eye at the major road junctions. The course, as always, has something for everyone with mild undulations between 4 and 8 miles but nothing too taxing and the fabulous weather made it an even better experience today. Well done Swinton RC!

In short: A well-organised race on an interesting course
In full: This race has enough variety for to suit runners of all abilities. The three M-way bridges in the second half are testing if you attack them but overall it's a fast course that will yield PBs.

In short: Flast!
In full: NO real hills anywhere to speak of.

PB course mostly along quiet country lanes in the Welsh marches with a small part in through the Wrexham industrial estate.

Well marshalled and organised with plenty of water stops. Big thanks to those hardy souls who came out to support the runners. You must've been freezing!

I'll definitely be back again.

In short: As usual Brian & the team made sure this ran like clockwork.
In full: Sun came out after lunch and temperatures rose with it. Typical Freckleton HM weather. Didn't manage a PB this time as I started way too fast. Still, it's my favourite race of the year and well worth doing whatever age/ability. Faultless organisation with plenty of water stations, showers and sponges. Even managed a smile at the old dear with the hosepipe at 12 miles who blasted me full in the face.
