In short: Fantastic race (even for us walkers)
In full: Its a tough course and I don't think its suitable for beginners! How the runners do it I don't know?! It was nice to see that the runners (maybe only one's not competing for prizes) thanked us when we moved aside for them and they also cheered us on! Course is challenging but great fun. Would have preferred a t-shirt but the mug looks great on my desk at work. Not so sure I liked the fact that they started packing up before everyone finished though!

In short: Great race but t-shirt not as good as previous years!
In full: I have to say I found it very hard this year but that was down to lack of training! The start was much better from the headrow and even then it still took ten minutes to get through the start. Loads of support thoguh even for us stragglers at the back. The t-shirt was not as good as previous years. Less sponsors this year so maybe thats why. Very enjoyable once I'd finished but really hard work doing it!

In short: Good course but had to pay for t-shirt!
In full: Getting to the start was a bit of a farce as the spectators were in the way and there was only a narrow area to get through. The course was nice and flat but it did feel quite lonely in places where there was no support. The finish was a shambles. Could hardly get over the finish line for the crowd of runners that had already finished and hadn't been moved along. Overall a good race and wuld do it again but with more training next time!

In short: Hard work but I loved it!
In full: I've never done anything so hard in all my life. I never expected so many uphills and where were the downhills?? (apart from the last one down to the coast - killer!) The locals were fab with their hosepipes, sweets, ice-pops, oranges and support! To stand there every year and support the runners is amazing! So many sad stories but so many brave people. Was in tears at the end! Will definitely be back next year if I can get a place!!
