In short: A great way to spend 12 hours In full: The race started at 6am and had 2.5km straight uphill!!! Coming over the finishing line Patrick (the organiser)was checking whether the marshalls/markers were all ok, this was a really good touch.
As the day progressed the sun came out which made for amazing views. The catering/massage was very good as was the support of other competitors.
And as a final touch of support from Patrick he was stood on the finish line congratulating competitors as they crossed the line.
Definately one to do again next year, thanks to all involved in organising/supporting/competing.
In short: Great race - stupid parking In full: the organisation and marshalling of the race itself were brilliant. Shame about the bright sparks who though parking lots of cars on a wet muddy field was a good idea. Sort this out next year! or have the races on the saturday and sunday rather than the same day Date of review: November 11, 2010
In short: Well organised half marathon In full: The course is expertly marshalled and the spectators on route really get behind the race. An undulating course that tests in places, but overall very fast. The technical t-shirt is good quality (thanks to Asics) and available in all different sizes, makes a change from the XL that's the standard at a lot of races!!! The Momento is a nice change from the norm too. Date of review: March 29, 2010
In short: Do it!!!!! In full: First time of doing the race, tricky terrain (i managed to twist my ankle about 3 miles in but i'm glad i hobbled the rest of the way round) The Bog of Doom is something that has to be experienced to be believed!!!! Date of review: November 2, 2009
In short: First Race - Loads of fun but exhausted at the end!!!! In full: The only problem was the long wait (roughly 20 mins) to reclaim our clothes bags in which time it was easy to get very cold as you weren't provided with a way of keeping warm. But overall a throughly enjoyable day. Date of review: April 6, 2006
