In short: A good race on a famous race track
In full: Nightmare weather, but a good course for racing. Pretty flat so not to taxing. Quite a lot of toilets and storage facilities very good and speedy. Good pre race pack and decent goody bag.

In short: A good race series, very friendly
In full: A good run through Trent Park, a challenging up and down off road track and the handicapping seems to work very well.

In short: Great 1st HM and excellent support
In full: I'm surprised at some of the comments here, as I thought the race was pretty good. Really flat which made it easy on the legs, maybe the start was a little full, but not at all bad for a race with around 3000 runners. The mile markers were all where they were supposed to be within about 20 yards (according to my garmin) and while the scenery was dull, running through residential areas meant that that there was plenty of support for all the runners, and of course people will look out for their friends. Easy to park, easy to get your bag at the end of the race, and there was nothing wrong with the bag at the end. I enjoyed it and would certainly run it again.

In short: A good first 10 miler
In full: A good race with lots of marshals shouting encouragement along the way. Very twisty turny course up and down the paths and subways of WGC, but traffic free and ffiendly competitors made for a decent atmosphere

In short: Smooth race on a brand new smooth road!
In full: The new bypass was a great surface to run on as you'd expect, and the out and back course was very simple and on a slight incline. A bracing wind on the way back was stronger than expected from the way out, and made it hard work back up the slope. More liason with the buses on after the race was required as some of us waited at least 25 minutes to return to our cars, whereas getting there was no problem. Needed more staff at the bag depot just before the race too, but otherwise no problems. Great cereal bars at the end of the race too!

In short: Very friendly, but pretty hilly!
In full: Today was around 28 degrees, beautiful sunshine and a great atmosphere aound the park where the race starts and finishes. really encouraging marshalls and lots of locals helping you round the very undulating course - I'm not sure there are any flat stretches! So not easy for beginners like me, but a fun afternoon. Lots of water and orange juice after the race. Maybe a few portaloos might help...

In short: My first proper (timed) race and only my second overall. Course was very flat which was a huge incentive. Lovely day, rain in previous days made the grass parts a little muddy, but great crowds, very encouraging. Makes me want to do more races!
