In short: A memorable way to clock up 44 marathons!
In full: This was my 44th marathon (7th in London).
I suffered due to lack of training and the indulgences in a big family feast lasting 10 days (in March, never to be repeated).
I walked about 23 miles and jogged a bit, finishing in 7h11m . I had 3 blisters and a pain in my right arch.
I did this in memory of my son (1984-2008, cF) and raised about £2,500 for the Cystic Fibrosis Trust.

In short: Very flat, pity about the wind
In full: The strong wind made it hard when it was in our faces. There were some potholes on the course, but it was absolutely flat. A larger number of portaloo's near the start would be good. I note it will be run again in March 2010.

In short: Well done Evesham!
In full: This is my 2nd year in this 10K. A fairly easy course, and the weather was kind with a little rain.
I was disappointed with the goody bag, but there were personalised T-shirts on offer at a bargain price.
The compact size of Evesham means everything is a short walk away.

In short: Helped me raise a lot of money for the Cystic Fibrosis Trust
In full: The sun shone constantly so I felt a bit warm, but it brought out the spectators!
The course has been redesigned to avoid traffic, so it was a pity that the narrow lanes were congested with even a camper van at about 11 miles. It was impossible to run fast at that point, and had I been one of the elites I would have been annoyed!
However, all in all it was well organised and enjoyable. It helped me raise £1161 for the Cystic Fibrosis Trust.

In short: Hot sunny weather, but not a difficult course.
In full: I did this 10K more than 2 minutes faster than at Timberhonger 2 weeks previously, showing that this was an easier course.
The free bananas for finishers were welcome!
We definitely want to come back to Evesham again.

In short: A tough course on a hot day.
In full: Although the hill at 8km is well known, I noticed that we went up exactly the same hill in the first 1-2km. However one does not notice it then because of the packed field and freshness of one's legs!
I never found the portaloos mentioned in the information sheet - the public toilets were very small.
I did the Evesham Vale 10K 2 weeks later more than 2 minutes faster, showing the Timberhonger course is tougher.

In short: A friendly informal event, made difficult this year by the heat!
