In short: Superb organisation, wonderful marshals, I'll be back next year!
In full: The one thing that struck me from entering this race to the finish line, was the care and consideration of the runner. From the Facebook messages, to the e-mails, to all the marshals on the course(who incidentally were fabulous) a well executed race but next time could you iron out that incline at the end!!

In short: terrible organisation!!!
In full: I don't like to slate races but I was pretty appalled with some of the things that happened with this race. Firstly what was the point in sending numbers out in the post when you still had to queue to get a race chip?!(the fact that nobody knew which queue they were supposed to go in). Secondly, there was no directions to the school, so we ended up going round in circles. At the 10.5 mile point, the housing estate that I ran through was extremely hot and I felt really dehydrated to the point of feeling sick, I saw a marshal and asked 'where the water was?' to be told 'it was on the sea front and it wasn't far'(at the time he was also attending another runner that looked to me to be also dehydrated), there was also several people in front of me asking for water as well. Well 'not far' was another mile nearly!!! (thank you to my club mate that saw I was in destress and went and got a bottle of water and dished it out to both myself and the other runners that were behind me,she was a life saver!).On the seafront I voiced my concern to two other marshals, who basically ignored me, if it wasn't for a lives responder listening and taking action(I found out after finishing that water and medical help was sent up to the estate)who knows what would have happened. Final critism, On trying to leave the event, I was told that I had to wait. I explained to the marshal that my husband had to get to Louth for another race, he strugged his shoulders and walked off. I went to the front of the car queue and spoke to a marshal that was more understanding and finally we got away. This problem wouldn't have happened with the cars not getting away from the venue if more care had been taken in the planning of the finish area. Why have runners crossing the only road exit to the school, surely somebody should have highlighted this safety issue right from the start. Race organiser if you think I am being harsh, them I have no problems in coming forward to speak to you about them(please feel free in contacting me through RW. This is an event that was really good but, is now frault with some very serious safety issues.

In short: hot and conjested
In full: This is my local race, and every year it gets bigger. This year I found it really congested, mybe a change in route again would solve this problem, how about going right out of Jubilee park and up the broadway on to Horncastle road and left into Sandy lane(I know this would cause roads to be closed but an extra pound on the entry fee should cushion the blow. Champion chip would also encourage a lot more entrants. I do like attending this race but would be put of in the future if it was on this same route for health and safety reasons.

In short: route better than last year but finish come on you can do better than that!
In full: I did this race last year and enjoyed it, the only thing that let it down last year was the finish area, so why oh why had the bottle neck not been solved? I found it potentially dangerous.
Again the medal was great but no goody bag this year? to be honest I know you can't please everyone but rather than space blankets how about a cuppa?
