In short: Another good race In full: This is my sixth time of doing the race and still love it.
The pinch points especially are in the first mile while runners spread out from the start and was the slowest mile for me.
Still got a PB Date of review: May 1, 2011

In short: Good race nicely organised In full: This is my third time for the Great South and I love it. Good atomsphere from runners and crowds. Even had the hairs on the back of my neck stand on end this year while running around.
I have entered for 2010 but definitely expensive at £36. If this goes any higher I will have to rethink on whether to enter which would be a shame. Mind you they were saying next year is the 21st year so perhaps we will get something really good in the goody bag!
Come on Brendan, stop seeing this as a cash cow and do it for the runners.

In short: Good challenging 10k In full: Very well organised race with lots of water stations. Marshall's were brilliant and so were the views.
Course was challenging with some hills that were really hard work.
Hope to be back for the next one.

In short: Well organised race.. but..... In full: Good race as always but need to sort the chip timing out. My timing was out by nearly a minute and a half but I think this was down to it being gun to chip timing unlike the previous two years.
Weather was good as well :-) Date of review: May 5, 2008

In short: And here is the latest weather forecast In full: Well, what a race. I thought it had taken me a year to run this half marathon with the hail, sleet, snow and a little sun. For my first half I did enjoy this race. Well done to all that organised it and to get cramp in both legs 100m before the finish just when they were just about to take my photo's isn't funny. I will be back next year. Date of review: March 23, 2007
